Highlights
What is Memento?
In high-end inspection machines using vision, the frame grabber is responsible for acquiring images in synchronization with numerous external devices such as motion or lighting controllers, not to mention the camera itself.
Debugging these systems often requires complex equipment, for example, oscilloscopes and logic analyzer, which are used along with software profilers. The problem is even more acute with the latest cameras available, which allow for very fast frame rates exceeding several hundred, even thousand frames per second.
Memento has been designed to simplify that process. During the operation, Memento records a very detailed log of events related to the camera, the frame grabber and its driver, as well as the host application.
Main benefits
Memento analyzer
Memento provides a logic analyzer tool, called Memento Analyzer, that receives detailed, sequenced and timing information to help measure latencies and detect defects during acquisition.
The Memento Analyzer displays system events (trigger, strobe, DMA, …) on a timeline.
It analyzes how buffer queues are used and how acquired images are delivered to the application. It also displays detailed information about incoming protocol data (CoaXPress, …).
Latest driver release
eGrabber 25.03
- Extended support for Horizontal Image Flipping function
This release of eGrabber adds the horizontal image flipping function to the “1-camera, line-scan” firmware variant of PC1633 Coaxlink Quad G3 and PC1633-LH Coaxlink Quad G3 LH and to the “1-camera, line-scan” and “1-df-camera, line-scan” firmware variants of PC1635 Coaxlink Quad G3 DF.
The horizontal image flipping function also known as horizontal mirroring, is a process in which an image is flipped along its vertical axis. This means that the left side of the image becomes the right side and vice versa.
- New GenApi terminal
This release of eGrabber adds a GenApi terminal to each GenTL module. This feature is reserved to advanced users and camera makers who need to perform specific operations on the GenApi nodes of a module or to execute Euresys scripts on the current grabber. - New @Configuration category to GenApi modules
This release of eGrabber adds the @Configuration category to GenApi modules (visible from the Expert level). This new category exposes the GenApi runtime settings of a module (including documentation for each configuration node). The @Configuration category is reserved to advanced users and camera makers.
- Improved high DPI support
Starting with this release, the Memento application adapts the scaling for high DPI displays.
This improves the readability on high DPI screens. - Improved analyzer view
Starting with this release, the Analyzer view can be configured with a maximum number of visible analyzer lines.
When the number of analyzer lines exceeds the configured limit, they can be vertically scrolled using the keyboard arrow keys or the mouse scroll wheel combined with Shift key.
